First come, first served

For all ferries, seating is on a first come, first served basis. Most of the boats carry up to 100 passengers and rarely depart full.

Check before you leave

It is the passengers responsibility to check timetables on the day of travel. No refunds can be processed for missed crossings due to passengers not arriving on time.

A live ferry status is available online at: www.falriver.co.uk/ferries

Cancelled services

All boat operators reserve the right to cancel/delay any sailing if the weather is deemed too dangerous to sail or in any other circumstance where the boat is unable to sail including tidal conditions. The skipper's decision is final.

If any operator cancels a sailing, tickets will be replaced for the same ticket type on another day or a full refund will be given.

The skipper has the right to refuse passage to any person deemed unfit to travel, including those under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We ask all our passengers to respect other passengers and not to use language that could be perceived as threatening or rude. Any passenger who is causing a nuisance or disturbance will be taken back to shore and will not receive a refund.

Access, Bikes & Children

We are afraid none of our services have wheel chair access.

The boarding steps on Custom House Quay, Prince of Wales Pier and St Mawes Quay are fairly steep and can be slippery.

Care should be taken at all times when boarding.

Bikes may be taken onboard but must be carried down the steps and onto the ferry. Panniers should be removed from bikes.

Pushchairs can also be taken onboard but please remove children before boarding and collapse pushchairs.

Assistance will be given by available ferry crew at their discretion.

Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
